My balloon journey started over 20 years ago with a spark of curiosity and a whole lot of creativity. I dove into tutorials, read everything I could, and learned from my amazing mentor, Miss Sue. My late Uncle Raymond pitched in, too—literally—teaching me how to build sturdy frames that bring my balloon visions to life.

The name? That was all my customers! Every time I’d arrive at the venue with balloons, I’d hear, “The Balloon Lady is here!” It stuck—and with a nod to my St. Louis roots, The STL Balloon Lady was born. I even built my own website: www.TheSTLBalloonLady.com, and yes, I’m proud to say I’m rocking a 4.9 Google rating!

 

In 2014, I took a leap of faith and left my 9-to-5 to follow my dream full-time. Thanks to a heart-to-heart with my former boss (who had followed his own entrepreneurial path), I got the final nudge I needed. Best. Decision. Ever.

Fast forward to today: I just celebrated 20 years in the balloon biz and 10 years in my very own shop. While I’m the one running the show, my amazing family jumps in to help when the events get big (or balloon epic). I’m working on expanding the team and leveling up the business—and I’m just getting started!
